Model R Calibration
Check Kits

Principles of Operation
The cylinders
of calibration check gas for use with Model R kits are
small, lightweight steel containers approximately 10-5/8
inches high and 2-5/8 inches in diameter and, depending upon
the individual pressure requirements, contain 16 to 20
liters of a specified gas mixture of a known (+/- 5%
tolerance) concentration.
Approvals and
Standards
MSA certifies
that the gas mixture in the calibration gas cylinders was
prepared gravimetrically, using NIST traceable weights. The
lot number and nominal value of the gas constituents in
percent by volume, percent by mass, PPM mass or volume are
specified on the cylinder. Each MSA calibration gas cylinder

Calibration Gas and
Accessories

Principles of Operation
For MSA
instrument calibration, each cylinder lists the proper
instrument response settings. For calibration of non-MSA
instruments, each calibration cylinder lists the actual gas
fill in the cylinder. When using MSA calibration gas to
calibrate non-MSA instruments, you must refer to the
manufacturer's instruction manual for proper instrument
response.
Approvals and
Standards
MSA certifies
that the gas mixture in calibration gas cylinders has been
prepared gravimetrically, using NIST traceable weights. A
lot number and nominal value of the gas constituents in
percent by volume, percent by mass, PPM mass or volume is
specified on the cylinder. Each MSA calibration gas cylinder
is shipped with an individual copy of its material safety

Galaxy™ Automated
Test System

Principles of Operation
The Galaxy
Automated Test System works without the touch of a single
button. Simply place the instrument in the test stand and
the system performs the test automatically; no user
intervention is required. The Galaxy System is completely
standalone; it does not require a computer or network
interface for any mode of operation.
For the
fully-featured version of Galaxy Automated Test System, an
optional network interface is available for either wired
(Ethernet) or wireless (802.11b) networks. The Galaxy
interface for data retrieval and reporting is extremely easy
to use. Any web Navigator can be used to access the data of
a network-enabled Galaxy Automated Test System. Calibration
and bump check records, due date for instrument calibration,
and the ability to email MSA directly for support are just a
few of the capabilities of this interface.

Gas Miser® Demand
Regulator

Principles of Operation
Designed for
use with any MSA Model RP calibration cylinder except
chlorine and ammonia, the Gas Miser Demand Regulator
features an automatic on/off valve that releases gas only on
demand, so only the amount of gas needed to calibrate your
MSA instrument is delivered. When the calibration is
complete, the Gas Miser Demand Regulator shuts off
automatically.

Product
Information
The most
advanced, yet simple-to-use calibration gas delivery system
available. Made of nickel-plated brass and polished aluminum
(especially important for reactive gases), the Gas Miser
Demand Regulator can supply gas flow from 0.1 lpm to 3.0 lpm.
For user convenience, this regulator can stay connected to
the RP cylinder where it remains in a ready state, making it
ideal for such fixed installations as work benches and
calibration stations. The Gas Miser Demand Regulator also
eliminates the need to change regulators to accommodate
different instruments or flow rates. Supplied with
calibration tubing and special fitting. |
Gas Miser® Manifold

Product Information
The Gas Miser
Manifold is not only a cylinder holder but also incorporates
a four-station "bump test" or calibration manifold.
Principles of
Operation
Works with
Model RP and Econo-Cal Calibration Cylinders and Gas Miser
Demand Regulator on any pumped or aspirated instrument. The
manifold will supply the correct amount of gas required and
will bump test or calibrate up to four instruments
simultaneously. Gas Miser Demand Regulator sold separately.
