Product Information

Designed to fit any of MSA's protective caps or hats. When properly positioned, they will securely hold faceshields, visors and welding shields. A durable ring of rubber tubing holds the plastic adapters securely on the cap or hat while a metal spring holds the metal brackets in place. The plastic adapters are non-conducting, and can be worn on dielectric caps or hats without affecting the headwear's dielectric qualifications.

Visors

Product Information

A wide selection of visors easily fit MSA faceshield frames or assemblies.

Principles of Operation

Faceshields and visors should always be worn with primary eye protection such as impact-resistant spectacles or goggles. Visors should be inspected frequently and replaced immediately if worn, scratched or damaged in any way. Selection of proper models for specific hazards and communication of all instructions, precautions and limitations to the wearer is the responsibility of user safety specialists, who are also responsible to see they are strictly observed. Failure to comply with any of the above could result in serious injury or death.

Approvals and Standards

All MSA visors meet or exceed applicable requirements of ANSI Z87.1-2003 (high impact), except the wire screen visor, which meets the "basic" portion of Z87. MSA visors are manufactured for use on only MSA frames and assemblies for compliance with ANSI Z87.1 2003.
