Couplings and Adapters

Swaging/Crimping

The use of cam and groove couplings with today’s XLPE and UHMW calls for greater retention. Perma-Tite^TM couplers and adapters meet this requirement. Perma-Tite^TM couplers and adapters are available for most common methods of permanent attachment, crimping or swaging. The use of ferrule (patent pending) or economical crimp sleeves provides one of the best connection systems available. Perma-Tite^TM couplings have been tested to meet and exceed the Rubber Manufacturers Association’s liquid hose pressure safety requirement of four times the working pressure without leaking.

The ferrule or crimp sleeves provide the end user with greater flexibility because the coupling or adapter can be reused by removing it from a damaged hose assembly. Note: the reused coupling and/or adapter MUST be examined for damage prior to installation in a new hose.

• Prevents spillage – the valves automatically close when the coupler and adapter are disconnected, preventing excess leakage. Close-tolerance interfacing between the coupler and adapter prevent spillage of more than a few drops. Handles can be locked to prevent accidental disconnection.

• Only one operation is required for connection or disconnection
