Fenaplast FR
Meeting the fire-performance and
anti-static requirements of all current safety standards,
Fenaplast FR belting is designed primarily for use underground
and in similar safety hazard situations. The PVC impregnation
and belt covers have been proven ideally suitable in meeting
fire resistance specifications and in overcoming practical
conveying problems.
PVC compounds
and cover thicknesses may be varied to suit the application
circumstances. Fenaplast FR belting has proved its excellent
service life in coal mining and in similar applications where
high, continuous output depends on the belt's reliability.
The PVC
compound covers give excellent cleaning properties and
together with the advantages of the solid-woven carcass
provide a belt ideal for soft rock applications other than
coal, such as potash, phosphate, fertilizer, salt, gypsum,
clay, etc, and for use in the timber industry and where moist
sticky materials are handled. |
|
FENAPLAST FRSR
A high level of fire-resistance is
sometimes specified, together with special cover properties
more readily achieved with synthetic rubber compounds.
Fenaplast FRSR belting is Fenaplast FR with the addition of
single or double covers of nitrile rubber.
The second
cover may be either a similar quality rubber or high-grip PVC
compound. Increased belt life, steep gradient conveying, or
the overcoming of conveying problems in fire hazard areas are
the main considerations for this type of belting.
High tonnage
drift and trunk conveyors, power stations and coal preparation
plants are major users of Fenaplast FRSR belting. |
Fenaplast Hi-Vis

Fenaplast Hi-Vis belting in operation at RJB's Kellingley
Colliery.
Fenner recently introduced High
Visibility (Hi-Vis) yellow covered Fenaplast belting into
various markets, improving the safety and inspection
capabilities, particularly on underground conveyors.
The enhanced
visibility of the yellow covers significantly improves the
sighting of the conveyor's moving parts and structure against
the belt, allowing easier inspection and making the conveyor
itself more conspicuous. Already in use in the UK and Canada,
the advantages of Hi-Vis belting have been recognized by
engineers as a useful feature in improving safety around
conveyors - always an area of concern.
Fenaplast Hi-Vis
belting is a product innovation driven by the need for
improved safety and is especially advantageous on man-riding
conveyors, making the belt edges and conveyor moving parts
more obvious to the rider. Fenaplast belting is also available
in a range of other colors which greatly assist in belt
identification on conveyor systems. |
|
Fenaplast SR
Where there is no fire hazard,
Fenaplast SR is offered as a rubber covered belt for conveying
abrasive or difficult minerals. A durable nitrile rubber cover
compounded for maximum abrasion resistance combined with the
PVC impregnated, solid woven carcass, has proved ideally
suited to high impact installations, conveying aggregates and
similar hard, sharp materials. The back cover can be either
synthetic rubber or PVC.
Fenaplast SR
can be an economic alternative to rubber plied belting where
heavy impact, high lift, or long hauls are involved. It is
also a suitable alternative to steel cord belting, as is
Fenaplast FR, for soft rock applications. |

AT

In response to the needs of the
marketplace, we can offer advanced technology ("AT") conveyor
belting. "AT" conveyor belting is manufactured on
"state-of-the-art" production equipment. Its unique design
gives us even greater flexibility in working with
high-performance thermoplastic elastomers.
ENGINEERED FOR SAFETY
Scandura
thermoplastic elastomers are flame resistant, which is a
critical requirement for industrial and mining applications
where dust, static electricity, and friction present severe
fire hazards. Scandura thermoplastic elastomer belts are
actually self extinguishing: when the heat source is removed,
the belt will not propagate the flame.
Today, Scandura
enhances thermoplastic elastomers to increase these benefits
even further. Our compounds are specially formulated for
increased oil resistance and flame resistance, and for
increased flexibility in low temperature conditions. Scandura
also manufactures specialty compounds for a variety of other
application demands.
The carcass is
the strength of any conveyor belt. We use the latest in
textile development in conjunction with state-of-the-art
weaving looms to produce our own carcass constructions. Our
textile technologists engineer the best carcass design for the
application.
Scandura uses
polyester and nylon fabrics, mono- filament or multi-filament
designs
