Uscothane

Uscothane is a high performance
cast urethane elastomeric material which is tougher and more
durable than most rubbers and plastics. It combines the
product attributes of both metal and rubber, for a belt that
possesses ultimate strength, with the elasticity of rubber.
Where other
belts fail, Uscothane is the problem solver! It withstands the
most hostile environments and service conditions.
APPLICATION
glass, canter
belts, saw mill belts, log handling, scrap metal, foundry
castings, heavy sharp rocks, wood chip slinger belts, magnetic
separator, fabric and metal stamping, aluminum and steel coil
wrapper
FEATURES
-
Abrasion
Resistance: Uscothane demonstrates superiority to other
elastomers in resistance to wear under most conditions.
-
Rip, Tear,
Gouge and Cut Resistance: Uscothane offers tear resistance
far superior to rubber.
-
Temperature
Resistance: Uscothane retains a degree of flexibility at
-20°F (-29°C), although gradual stiffening will begin at
32°F (0°C). Continuous use at 180°F (82°C) is not
recommended.
-
Coefficient
of Friction: Uscothane can be supplied with various durable
fabric sliderbacks to reduce coefficient of friction for
slider bed conveyor systems.
-
Flex
Properties: Uscothane resists cracking under repeated
flexure. Once nicked, or cut, it shows excellent resistance
to cut growth.
-
Cover
Adhesion: Uscothane is cast as a liquid onto the UsFlex
fabric. It penetrates the spaces in the fabric weave prior
to curing, and is locked into place when cured. This
process results in very high product integrity.
-
Environmental
Properties: Uscothane withstands the most hostile
environments while still maintaining its physical
properties. Uscothane resists damaging elements such as oil
and grease, chemicals, moisture and water immersion, mold,
mildew and fungus, oxygen and ozone, gamma ray radiation,
ultraviolet light, wide temperature range.

Metallica

A family of unique steel cord
fabric belts with high elongation steel weft cords (impact
weft) designed for conveyor applications where you require the
strength and low stretch of steel cord belting, but are
unwilling to sacrifice the impact and rip resistance of heavy
duty textile belting. Metallica IW gives you the qualities of
both belts in one package.
Metallica IW-R,
with regular (low) elongation steel warp cords, is designed
for applications currently using conventional steel cord
belting. Metallica IW-E, with high elongation steel warp
cords, replaces textile belts.
In both cases,
Scandura's experience and expertise in conveyor belt
manufacturing turn these hi-tech steel cord fabrics into
Metallica IW belting with hybrid properties now available to
you, the belt user.
